SOCIETY OF CABLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERS (SCTE)

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is a non-profit professional association dedicated to advancing the careers of cable telecommunications professionals and serving the industry through excellence in professional development, information and standards. Since 1969, SCTE has continually expanded its resources and services to meet the changing needs of its members in a rapidly evolving industry. Today, more than 14,000 CTOs, engineers, system operations managers, technicians, and field operations personnel from the U.S. and 70 countries worldwide depend upon SCTE to deliver the tools they need to maintain their competitive edge. SCTE offers a variety of programs and services for the industry's educational benefit for more than 68 chapters and meeting groups and has technically certified more than 3,000 employees of the cable telecommunications industry.

OHIO VALLEY SCTE

The SCTE Ohio Valley Chapter offers supplemental seminars to all interested parties in Ohio. We work closely with both cable companies and their contractors to determine the mostly timely topics. Some recent seminars have included safety, distracted driving and switched digital. Visit the website often to see the calendar of events. SCTE Chapters provide local networking, professional development, and SCTE certification opportunities to SCTE current and prospective members. SCTE’s Chapter members are the most active in the Society and are dedicated to educating broadband engineers on the latest technologies and leadership skills necessary to be successful. CANITEC

CANITEC is the National Chamber for the Industry of Telecommunications via Cable. It is the organization that represents businesses involved in the cable television industry that own public telecommunication networks and provide cable television service, Internet, data transmission and telephone service in the Republic of Mexico.
CANITEC was founded in 1975, and began as an association that brought together businesses in this sector. Later it was decided that this organization would be given a jurisdiction in the Industrial Chamber.
It has the ability to carry out all acts and contracts in defense of the interests of the Institution and the members and the execution of these contracts. All persons that have a franchise from the Federal
Government, for the installation, operation and exploitation of the Cable Television Systems, or for the installation, operation and exploitation of Networks.

CUSTOM ELECTRONIC DESIGN & INSTALLATION ASSOCIATION (CEDIA)

CEDIA is an international trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home. The association was founded in September 1989 and has more than 3,500 member companies worldwide. CEDIA Members are established and insured businesses with bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized field.
